Moments in Motion
This exhibition included more than 60 posters and over 100 lobby cards spanning over 5 decades representing modes of transport that were a part of the storyline of a movie and important enough to have found a place in its advertising. The oldest poster on display is from the movie Hunterwali Ki Beti (1943) and the youngest is from the movie Chalti Ka Naam Zindagi (1982). “Moments in Motion” provided a rare sighting of Indian Cinema and Transportation in an often overlooked art form that has become an important fixture in popular culture.

Popular Bazaar Art of India
This exhibition celebrated the rich history of early Indian prints and bazaar art, showcasing over 200 artifacts from the early 1900s to the 1960s. Highlights included lithographic prints, illustrated calendars, enamel signs, textile labels, and packaging materials that reflected the vibrant cultural and artistic evolution of the era. Notable pieces featured works by master artists like Raja Ravi Varma and M.V. Dhurandhar, transforming everyday items into timeless art. The collection offered insights into the history of printing, advertising, and socio-cultural norms, preserving the legacy of these “lost arts” for future generations. "Popular Bazaar Art of India" provided a rare glimpse into an overlooked yet influential form of popular culture and design.

Oleographs from Raja Ravi Varma Press
A special exhibition of 30 oleographs printed at the Raja Ravi Varma Press, dating back to the early 1900s was curated for visitors. Renowned as a pioneer of modern Indian art, Raja Ravi Varma's unmatched imagination, style, and influence continue to captivate scholars and art enthusiasts alike. Ravi Varma’s integration of Western realism with Indian art set the foundation for modern Indian painting, inspiring contemporaries like V.M. Dhurandhar and his brother Raja Raja Varma. His works are now cherished in museums, palaces, and private collections worldwide.

Light Years Ahead
"Light Years Ahead," created by acclaimed artist Vishal K. Dar, features sculptural installations envisioned as totems from an alternate cultural realm. These luminous pieces captivate with their beckoning glow, guiding us through darkness while simultaneously evoking curiosity and skepticism with their enigmatic forms, cryptic radiance, and tri-colored coded messages. Set in the Museum's newly designed experience room, the installation invites visitors to dream of the future and reflect on the paths illuminated before them.

Prints of the Divine
"Prints of the Divine" is an exhibition showcasing rare oleographs, lithographic plates, and postcards by renowned artists Raja Ravi Varma and M.V. Dhurandhar. It visually narrates the history of early Indian prints, featuring a diverse collection of divine art presented across various mediums. Curated by collector Prem Kandwal, most of the artifacts on display are from his private collection and are being exhibited publicly for the first time.
