Tram Car No. 204, acquired from Calcutta Tramways in September 2017, stands as one of the last surviving wood-bodied trams in India. Having served the residents of Kolkata for over seven decades, it embodies a significant piece of the country's urban transport history. The tram measures 57 feet in length, 7 feet in width, and weighs 18 tons. It features a 2-car articulated design with a seating capacity of 61 passengers.

Restored by the museum to retain its old-world charm, Tram Car No. 204 provides visitors with a unique opportunity to relive the bygone era of tram travel. The interior is adorned with vintage photographs and videos that vividly depict the history of trams in India and their cultural significance. Alongside another preserved tram in Kolkata, it is one of only two remaining wood-bodied trams in the country, making it a rare and cherished piece of heritage.
